As speculated by us earlier, the cabin features an all-black layout, replacing the tan-coloured seats and the three-tone treatment of black, beige and tan. Just like the outside, the cabin also features some contrasting red touches here and there, including red ambient lighting. It is yet to be seen if MG Motor will offer additional features with the Gloster Black Storm over the regular variants.
No mechanical changes are expected to be made to the SUV. Powering the Gloster is a 2.0-litre diesel engine that is available in two different states of tune. In its lower tune, the engine produces 161 PS of power and 374 Nm torque, while the higher output version is rated at 216 PS/479 Nm. The former gets a 2WD configuration, while the latter is equipped with a 4WD setup. Both engines are offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
The Black Storm is expected to sit atop the MG Gloster range in India, which is currently priced from Rs 38.08 lakh to Rs 42.38 lakh (ex-showroom). Stay tuned to TOI Auto for the launch report tomorrow to know the pricing of the MG Gloster Black Storm.
