As opposed to the old Nexon’s conventional headlamps, the new Tata Nexon facelift gets a split headlamp setup up front, with LED headlamps placed lower on the new, more sporty-looking bumper. The front-end looks more angular and futuristic than before. Moving to the sides, not much is new apart from the funky-looking 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, the same ones seen on the new Tata Nexon EV facelift too. At the rear, the new Nexon now gets a full-width tail light that it calls ‘X Factor tail lamp’ with welcome and goodbye function – a big step up from the compact tail lamps that were seen on the pre-facelift model.
The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift has a length of 3995 mm, a width of 1804 mm, stands 1620 mm tall and has a 2498 mm long wheelbase. This makes it 2 mm longer and 14 mm taller than the outgoing pre-facelift Nexon. However, the old Nexon was 7 mm wider than the new model at 1811 mm.

The ground clearance has now come down by 1 mm to 208 mm, which is still the highest in the segment. Moreover, the boot space has also slightly shrunk down to 382 litres as compared to 412 litres that were on offer on the old Tata Nexon.

Despite the exterior design overhaul, the biggest changes are the ones made inside the cabin, with the new Tata Nexon facelift gaining a new two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated logo. The HVAC unit is now a touch panel, while the center console also looks more plush with a new gear selector. What’s more, the Tata Nexon facelift gets a new, larger touchscreen infotainment system, along with a similarly sized fully digital instrument cluster – both of which were relatively smaller on the old Nexon.
While the old Nexon was fairly well-equipped, the new Nexon is arguably the most feature-packed sub-4m SUV in India. As compared to the outgoing model, the 2023 Nexon facelift now four additional airbags (total six), a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment replacing the 7-inch unit seen previously, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paddle shifters (DCA only), a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display with navigation support replacing the digitised unit seen on the older model, front parking sensors, blind view monitor, a 360-degree camera and height adjustment for front passenger seat.
Other features on offer include a voice-operated electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, all LED lighting, fully automatic climate control, Electronic Stability Program, tyre pressure monitoring system, auto-headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a nine-speaker JBL premium audio system, iRA connected-tech, wireless charger, leatherette seats from Benecke-Kaliko, an air purifier, cooled glove box, rear AC vents and so on.

While the 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT transmission options are carried over from the old Nexon, the petrol engine now additionally gets a 5-speed MT for entry-level variants, and a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
