Undisputed minimumweight champion Seniesa “Superbad” Estrada has embarked on a new chapter in her life.

She recently tied the knot with sports journalist Chris Mannix in an intimate ceremony this summer, followed by her surprising retirement announcement from professional boxing.

A Champion’s Farewell

In an emotional social media post, the undefeated champion (26-0, 9 KOs) shared her decision to retire at age 32:

“We did everything we imagined I would do and more as a woman in a male-dominated sport,” Estrada wrote. “Only God knows how long I’ve been contemplating this decision. Physically and mentally, I can’t continue anymore.”

Top Rank Chairman Bob Arum praised the retiring champion: “Seniesa Estrada is a spectacular person and fighter, and I know she can look forward to a happy and productive life outside the ring.”

Estrada’s husband, Chris Mannix (@sichrismannix), has made his own mark in the sports world.
