Tata Motors: Tata Nexon facelift: Changes, updated EV and more
In terms of design, the silhouette of the SUV remains the same but there will be extensive changes made to its front and rear end. It takes inspiration from the Curvv EV concept which was showcased in April 2022. The Nexon and Nexon EV will come with a new set of split LED headlight units along with new slim LED DRLs. It will also get re-designed front bumpers with a honeycomb structure.
On the side, the design largely remains the same as before but it will now feature re-designed 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Moving rear, it will get a redesigned tailgate, connected LED taillights and reworked rear bumper with scuff plates.
Inside, the Nexon and Nexon EV will feature an updated dashboard layout with additional features. It’s expected to get a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an updated UI. It will also feature a fully digital instrument cluster with the newly designed two-spoke steering wheel. Other expected features will include wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, automatic LED headlamps with wipers, 360-degree camera and parking sensors. Expected safety features will include six airbags, ABS, traction control, stability control and more.

Talking about the engine and gearbox, the new Nexon is expected to be offered with the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, NA Petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. Another engine is the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission.
The Nexon EV too is expected to be offered with two battery pack options – 30.2 kWh and a 40.5 kWh. The smaller battery pack is expected to have a range of up to 320 km and the bigger one with up to 480 Km. The battery will be paired with a PMSM electric motor.
