This remarkable achievement came with his pregnant wife Madison (Hauck) Wilson cheering him on from the stands at Citizens Bank Park.
The 29-year-old Wilson completed the rare feat with a dramatic double in the 8th inning against the Washington Nationals, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.
“I thought it was more in the gap,” Wilson recalled. “I saw him closing in and I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding.’ I saw it trickle out and, fortunately, he didn’t catch it.”
Family Expansion
Adding to the excitement of Wilson’s on-field success, the couple is eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child.
In April, they announced the pregnancy with a heartwarming social media post:
“Our greatest blessing yet! We are so excited to meet you and we love you so much already! Baby Wilson coming in September ❤️”
The baby boy is due on September 1, 2024, marking a new chapter in the Wilsons’ love story.
A Love Story For The Diamond
Weston and Madison’s relationship began in December 2016 when they met through mutual friends and Wilson’s aunt and uncle.

True to his word, Wilson proposed to Madison in a memorable on-field moment on May 7, 2017.
Before a Class A Advanced Carolina game, Madison threw out the ceremonial first pitch with Weston catching.
He then got down on one knee and proposed in front of 5,010 fans, including family and friends.
The couple tied the knot on September 22, 2017. Recently celebrating their 6th wedding anniversary, Wilson shared a touching tribute to his wife:
“6 years ago today I married the love of my life! You are the most amazing gift that God has ever given to me. We have grown so much over the last six years and I have fallen more and more in love with you as time has gone on. I don’t know how it’s possible but you just keep getting more beautiful!”
